I will be going to see a friend’s play tomorrow and I can’t help but worry. I’ll be going alone and I’m not very good in social situations. I’m scared ill be lonely and weird (i cant go with any friends, it’s complicated) Any advice?

I'm a very anti-social person, but anytime I get those nerves I find a mirror and just remind myself that all the things your head makes up is going to be 1000 times worse than it will ever be. And I'll say that a lot of people will surprise you and who knows what kind of friends you can make.

One thing I always worry about is that I'll embarrass myself, but then I think of when was the last time I can remember someone else embarrassing themselves? Can't think of a single time!

I would bite the bullet get dressed up and charge you can overcome this. I'm the same way. I do it and shake but I'm doing it

Over thinking . I'm so sorry you feel that way try focus on something else because when I overthink anything I make wrong decisions and I picture things that won't happen . So instead I just make myself think about anything else.

Honestly I've been to a loooot of friend's plays and concerts alone because I'm frequently the most available and supportive in their lives and while it can be pretty anxious to be in a crowd like that I promise no one will really notice you're alone and they definitely wont judge you for it, singular people showing up for their friends or family isn't that out of the ordinary.

honestly when i’m super anxious about being alone in a social situation, i try to block out my senses so that i’m not paying attention to the crowd (wearing a headphone and taking off my glasses lol). after that i would just find a spot and keep to yourself, or u could ease the situation and talk to whoever u sit next to.
