Dealing with Social Anxiety: Meeting Friends After a Year

I’m supposed to go see friends for like the first time in a year today. I want to see them but my social anxiety is flaring. I get the feeling I’ll panic and cancel last minute. I should be excited but I’m dreading it.

I always feel this way but push myself to spend time with them anyways because I know I always feel better afterwards. Personally, I feel better being open about being anxious to the people I'm with so they know and I don't feel like they think I'm acting strange.

Take any meds or smoke or breath. If you feel comfortable tells your friends and they could help. Sometimes just saying it out load makes it a little better. I just try and push through because I know I will have a good time and the anxiety will go away after a little bit.
