I didn’t have my period for 2 years, but that worried my gynecologist so I reluctantly went back on birth control. Started with the Depo-Provera shot early September. I definitely did NOT like it’s emotional side effects—forced me to quit my job later that month. Started my period October 3rd. It lasted well over a month, so in November I started taking Lo Loestren. It is now December 21st, and I am STILL on my period. I am so unbelievably frustrated and in pain every single day. This is my 5th method of Birth control that I’ve tried and I’m so tired of it all. Every single one causes their own horrible side effects, and having a period in the first place really affects my gender dysphoria. I just wanna know if it’ll ever improve. Will I ever find a birth control that actually works? Or am I just gonna have to suffer until I can finally get a full hysterectomy?
