I want to succeed in writing a book, but I’ve never really taken classes or anything for that kind of subject. I’ve just been working with what I got, basic knowledge I already know. I’m trying to find the right motivation for doing it, but there are so many different philosophies out there, I can’t make up mind. Some suggest pushing really hard no matter what cost, and others say just try and try and try, doors will always be open. I do wanna succeed at something in my life, not to prove to others but to myself that kid with autism can still make it! Any thoughts?

You can for sure do it!! Some of my friends who have done the worst in English classes anyway have turned into great writers. One of them has already finalized two books and is finishing a third one now and he was always chastised in our English class. But don’t worry about pace or how fast you can get it done, another one of my friends is doing their third revision of the book they’ve been working on since late 2017. It takes time but stay consistent!! :)

You can do it! Don't overpressure yourself to get it done or the work you create won't be as good as if you took your time and reread it a couple times. Look at George R.R. Martin, that guy's been trying to write Winds of Winter for years and he's just now getting close to being done. So go at your own pace, don't be afraid to slow down and think through your art
