Feeling Confused: Can't Identify My Emotions

I’m having hard time pinpointing how I’m feeling. I can’t figure out what a feeling of maybe sorrow, ache, and longing is. Any thoughts? Anxiety? Depression? Loneliness? Ect? Idk.

      @Katharina It’s hard to connect emotionally with others when that was never modeled for you, or worse, when you were shamed or punished for trying to express what you’re feeling, or ask for what you need. The only praise I ever got was for being “good”, aka quiet and needless.

      It took me awhile to identify that I was experiencing grief. Mourning the childhood that was stolen from me, the life I wanted and feel like I’ll never have, the health and vitality I’ve lost, and the ability to have hope and optimism for the future.

        @LissieJean I really identify with that too. Yet, on the outside ir looks like I’ve always had that. When in reality I did have emotional neglect. Only when I hit my adulthood I felt that need for that something I never had and no I feel it’s too late to even get that
