I’m constantly terrified that I’ve made my conditions up. Several psychiatrists have confirmed my diagnosis(es..), and yet since I haven’t shown any improvement in years i feel like this is how everyone feels and i’m just completely over reacting. Especially with all the people faking disorders on TikTok. i personally don’t have Tiktok but i have spent days on end diving down the rabbit hole on youtube watching ‘fake disorder compilations’) and it makes me physically sick. Scientifically i’m not faking so why am i still convinced i am.

feels good to know other people get this too!! it’s hard to validate your struggles but that’s why support groups and apps like these exist

I think a lot of people go through what you're going through. Try to avoid social media altogether when it comes to things like that. It's hard to discern which information is genuine or not, even if labeled as such. Even if you never had a diagnosis, your problems still affect you, right? And that's proof enough that you are having some sort of struggle. Listen to your psychiatrists, and let them know why you feel this way too. Although they can of course be wrong sometimes, experts can usually tell if someone is faking something (especially since that person themself has never experienced the issue so they wouldn't really know how to act it properly).
