how do you know if whatever you're feeling or experiencing is worthy of being labeled as "bipolar symptoms" or just "teenagerism"?

depends what happens. if you're manic and have a psychotic break then go out and play in traffic because you think you're invincible, thats a little different from yelling at someone or slamming the door in your parent's face when you're angry. Bipolar does make you experience your emotions in a stronger way than most people, even when your mood is stable. Adolescence only compounds this. I wish i knew i had bipolar when i was younger. You'll learn a lot.

Note that I have never gotten drunk; I'm an adolescent. @hotpink23

I found alcohol triggers my bipolar for the worse, see if you are a mean drunk?
I am almost 30 and I still struggle with it. The biggest help in discerning this has been asking for feedback from therapists or family/friends. It can be really hard to differentiate between bipolar things and human things. Feel for you. Hang in there ❤️
