I got diagnosed with fnd may of last year after a sudden numbness in both feet after I hurt my back in a chair. Within one week of this injury, I couldn't walk. I continue to suffer numbness and still can't walk, due to flare ups and relapses. Recently I've come back into hospital after a 20 minute seizure which then resulted in the loss of control in my neck, I hate this condition. I feel so alone and lost, I'm not myself and I just feel like my body isn't my own anymore. Each day, I wake up and I'm in pain, I have seizures and cry, I go to sleep and its the same the next day. It feels so scary at times. And now it's coming up to a year since my diagnosis.

Firstly I just want you to know that you are not alone, I thought the exact same when I finally got my diagnosis after 10 years of being told my Seizures, blackouts, Tics, Memory loss amongst a lot of other things were just viral. I wake up everyday feeling sick, and in pain with my legs mainly. I have Seizures, blackouts and random bouts of Paralysis often. It mostly affects my right side and I have mobility issue's and have to walk using a walker. Please if you ever need to chat message me ❤️

@CazzyBaby it's so isolating, it's crazy. It's so common, yet we hardly hear about until it affects us or someone close to us. It's one of those conditions that's swept under the carpet. We've all got each other yet we just don't know that yet, and the way to do that is by putting yourself out there. I'm glad you replied 🩷

I also have FND. I got super sick in june 2020. I feel you. Honestly its really not easy, in fact its been the most difficult thing ive faced in my life. I can’t promise you itll get better but i do promise you, youre not alone. Its so easy to feel alone especially when we might not look sick all the time. I see you and i see your struggles. Living the way we do takes a lot of strength and perseverance and you are doing well, the best you can. Please try not to blame yourself or your body. If you’d like to talk further you could always message me ❤️

@Art_therapy hi! Thank you so much for replying to my post. It's such an isolating condition, from what I've experienced so far, so it's so reassuring to speak to others with it too. It's so much hard work and always putting on a brave face to not worry those around me, but there's only so long we can go before we start breaking,I hope you're well
