Is it common to not have signs of endometriosis shown in an ultrasound but you still might have endometriosis? I am wondering because I have done two months of combined hormone birth control and my menstruation pain is still pretty unbearable.

"Yes, it is possible to not have signs of endometriosis shown in an ultrasound but still have the condition. As one user mentioned, 'As far as I knew the only way they could accurately see endo was through surgery. Just because it didn't show on the mri doesn't mean it isn't there.' This suggests that imaging tests like ultrasounds or MRIs may not always detect endometriosis."
