Seeking Advice on Mental Health Nursing Training

Does anyone have any advice for me. I have a long history of mental health struggle and I’m choosing whether to train for paediatric nursing or mental health nursing. I’ve also got physical health conditions. I can’t be hit in the head and I still struggle to a certain point with mental health but I’m well into recovery now and I want to help others in my situation. Any advice from other mental health workers?

I'm UK based, did adult nursing, immediately went into pediatric ICU, and then tried to move into school nursing. I'm currently in full burnout, and potentially quitting the profession. I heard truly horrendous things being said about ASD patients, and my strong autistic sense of justice made life hell when I wasn't able to actually give my patients what they needed because of policies.
