Do You Experience Pre-Symptoms Before a Flare of Diverticulitis?

Hi. I have diverticulitis. I had it for years, undiagnosed. I finally found out with a colonoscopy. I think the most presymtom I had was pressure like I had to use the bathroom, but couldn't. Then the pain started in my side. I eventually had surgery to remove the damaged part of my colon. I did watch my diet and found out that dairy products would bring on an attack.
