i feel like my therapist is not really helping me that much. he was at first, and he is very nice, but I dont see him as a therapist as much as just a guy to talk to. i dont particularly want to switch therapists because I like him a lot, but i dont know how to tell him that i want him to be more like how he was when we first started meeting.
Just be honest, or you could be honest to the front desk. Probably best to be honest with your therapist, there's no reason to be scared. Tho your fears is valid, your not alone I get the same way too.
Like the first comment said, just be honest with him. Any good therapist should not take it as a personal insult and should be able to help you figure out the root cause if there is one, and if they feel like someone can be of better assistance they will tell you.
