Desperate plea to not self-harm

Genuinely, please don't. Not just because you told me to say this, but actually. Self harm should never be the answer. Whatever you're going through, there are ways to cope. Talk to someone you trust that's close to you, or strangers online. Seek therapy. It doesn't matter. Please, help yourself or try and let someone else help you. Even if things seem like a dumpster fire and it's never going to get better, it's always been like this, stop telling yourself things like that. Try picking up small hobbies, or focus on one's you already have. Don't be afraid to vent in a safe space. Reach out, and don't pressure yourself to do or feel anything you don't want to. I hope whatever you're going through gets better. Ive felt the same way, or at least close. 💕

Please don’t. I know what this feels like, to the point that my mom hid knives from me for years out of fear. As a 22 year old woman who has found love, meaning, and substance in a life I wished so badly to end… please stay. There’s so much left for you to see.
