This is my first time writing here I’m usually a really shy person, and Im honestly embarrassed about the conditions i have so i tend to not speak on them much, but lately I’ve had a hard time coping with my hirsutism i just want to be “normal” I’m tired of shaving and getting rashes for it to grow back literally the next day, i have no idea what else to do and i feel completely alone! I been to the gynecologist and I’ve been prescribed combination birth control pill but i seen the side effects and freaked out! I have really bad anxiety as well and thats been through the roof. Im not sure how to handle any of this anymore i cant win for losing at this point.

"Flawless Nu" it's called. They have like 5 or 10 different razors. For different parts of the body

The wax is good if you are ready to transaction shaving which is the worst for some ppl.. hair removal methods will differ according to diet, hereditary, skin type/color, hair type/color

The flawless razor is. For women but I think it's waste. Of. $$$ bcuz it doesn't last. I spent $40 on one that I leave at my mother's house for when I visit because it's made out gold or gold filled which wears off and dulls very easily and is expensive to replace the blades after a while. But gold is good for the body The flawless is the most popular

I would suggest OP to do their own research, laser hair removal for people with hirsutism has in some cases actually made the hair growth come back worse, I’ve seen electrolysis be recommended more often. Also no waxing routine will make the condition better, it will however temporarily remove the hair, making it more comfortable 💗

    • bubulubu

      732d

I recently got prescribed birth control to help control the excess hair but I decided to not take it because I’m scared of the side affects, I advocated for myself and mentioned my decision to my endocrinologist and told them I wanted to try spironolactone instead, and she prescribed it! You should be able to have the same conversation with your gynecologist, remember it’s not mandatory to be on birth control!

@bubulubu And I completely understand the painful razor burn, I made peace with it and don’t shave my legs unless I’ll be wearing shorts or a dress, it felt uncomfortable at first but it’s made my life easier!

        • Betaleonis

          732d

@bubulubu I also bought a $40. Rechargeable razor made for men's facial hair. Which I use on my legs. I NEVER shave my skin with water or cream. And I go out with hair legs 90 of the year. You won't get rid of your hair with the methods you use

I bought myself a nood laser hair remover for $200 this month bcuz I can't afford the laser surgery. I gave up already. It is hard performing these procedures on urself. I'll start again next month. And I'll do this until I can afford $4000 < x < $15,000 in laser surgery for most of my body from my Head to my knees!!!
