I have generalized anxiety disorder. My husband doesn't understand it because everytime "he asks did you take your medication just when I ask questions about things" which is irritating to me. I just wish he knew what anxiety disorder was and how hard it is sometimes to deal with it. Before I started taking my medication I was scared to just go into the store by myself because I felt awkward or looked funny.

My husband is sometimes like this as well. He does deal with anxiety but not in the ways that I do. I myself am sometimes scared to go into a store which in turn I think Im starting to deal with social anxiety. Im reading a book called D.A.R.E. and it seriously has helped tremendously it teaches you to run into the anxiety not away from it. It sucks believe me Ive never dealt with the store thing until recently and I dont know why. However Im learning to challenge my anxiety because I will not I repeat will not let my anxiety control me. Basically the book also explains that we ourselves has caused the anxiety that we are dealing with. Once i realized that I realized that the book is correct. My actions have caused my anxiety. The way I react to my symptoms have caused my anxiety. It also explains about trusting yourself in which explains things as I have realized to start trying to trust myself again

I'm so sorry that you are experiencing this. Have you tried talking to him about the best ways to support you? Some people need it spelled out very specifically. It may also take time and patience. Be kind to yourself, and be kind to your husband, even if you have to tell him that his asking about your medication isn't helping. In my experience, a lot of people want to be helpful but they don't know how. I hope things improve soon and that you find what works for you. ❤️
