Dad Ruined My Dinner Again, Feeling Helpless

I know what that feels like. Sometimes I feel like I am being thrown under the bus when my dad is not grateful for the meal that I cook him. That's not fair on you, it's not your fault at all. I think what you need is to find the time that suits both you and your parents and talk through how it makes you feel when your dad does that.

I go through the same thing with my parents. My dad always says nasty stuff and my mom will never take my side. Even if her life depends on it. My brother is the golden child which makes things worse. What I do is go in my room and cry to my fiancé and cut myself which I do not recommend. It sucks because during those times I feel like I have no parents at all. And I rather that than getting ganged up on.
