Hello! I was wondering if anyone else has trouble regulating body temperature, and ways to help? I'm hypo and I am very cold intolerant, but I've learned to manage! However, now that it is getting warmer, I'm finding myself heat intolerant somehow as well? I've been feeling really sick if I get just a lil toasty.

WOW…. That’s me too. I never seem to find that happy medium. I’m either complaining b cuz I’m cold or…a b cuz I’m hot. Please let me know if you get any good tips for that.

I like to keep gel ice packs in the freezer to help cool down my core when I'm overwhelmed by the heat... On the chest or back/shoulders seems to help with overheating and can help with stopping panic attacks as they're starting. I also have migraines so a freezable "headache hat" pulls double duty. Nice pressure on the head and chilly!

I didn't even know it went up that high, the people there were surprised I was chillin like I was! Your level is high, but should ease out once you get your dosage situated! Mine has always fluctuated a lot. Also, thank you!!

My TSH was 59.75! I lost my insurance and a bunch of other unfortunate events so couldn't afford my medicine. I went into the ER for something unrelated and found out they were critical! Luckily that visit led me to resources, so now I'm back on my medicine at a higher dosage! I've always had major nodules on my thyroid, and it's almost dead, so it's going to be better to get it out. I have a new nodule joining the party so going to try and get in with the surgeon 😔✊🏻

@mjrbloom It sounds like you have a good plan!! That's scary, but I'm glad you found the right resources. Phew, I feel a lot better with my 12 TSH! I have a thyroid nodule, but it's only 3 cm and is benign.

Yes! I'm currently working on this with my endocrinologist. My thyroid has been off lately after some other med changes, and I've been getting so cold. I wonder if the levothyroxine dose needs to be changed. Could you ask your endocrinologist if it is healthy to have those temperature imbalances or if that's indicative that something is wrong?

@Glowing_Triathlete I just had my dose increased because I was at critical levels! Supposed to be getting it (thyroid) removed at some point. I'll try to schedule an appointment with my PCP because this is something new! It's a lot more unbearable than it used to be

@mjrbloom Really? What were your levels? I recently got my TSH checked, and it was at 12 (normal is between 1-3 or something!) What is the benefit of getting your thyroid removed?

Hi! I am also Hypo and definitely do. I'm always too cold or too hot. It's frustrating. I try to stay hydrated and just make whatever adjustments I can to stay comfortable.
