My name is Emily. I'm a twenty-seven-year-old aspiring author, using writing as a way to cope with my conditions. I also draw, paint, and sculpt. Creativity is my ultimate outlet, pulling me through my brightest and darkest days.

Me too!! I have always loved art (painting and drawing and such) and it has always been a great outlet. I discovered a love for writing just around when my health started to plummet. I’ve kept at it since then and I love it so so much, it’s an incredible way to be able to express what’s going on with me.

@Mollie_H EEP like me! I have bipolar I so that’s fun. And IIH is a pain. I did a small workout last night and my head wanted to explode.

Thank YOU 😊 your words are so kind & I’m proud of you too!! I’m not very active at the moment but want to be more again soon. I started roller blading again indoors recently for some fun exercise and broke my wrist 3 weeks ago,so I’m super not active right now. Trying to maintain my mental health through this physical injury. I was afraid of depression being out of work for so long but my anxiety flared up badly last week. Neither are any better than the other but I at least know how to treat my anxiety better to prevent it from getting worse, depression is a bit trickier for me. We can talk more soon for sure :) idk how this app works yet lol but if you wanna request to follow me on Insta you can,if you have it. :) I’d like to see some of your art & try to connect more off of here! :) mines @higginsmollie12. If you want to connect more :))

@Mollie_H - Aww, thank you! I don't hear that often from those in my offline life, so I appreciate that! (: Ooh! That sounds painful. I hope you'll be on a speedy recovery! I've had similar incidents, but I think being double-jointed saved me from ever breaking a bone. The closest I ever got was a lightly sprained ankle after jumping from the side of a building. I can only imagine how this has impacted your mental health. I'm totally open to talking more on Instagram, that's where mostly all my friends and I talk anyway, ha-ha. I sent you a follow request, my handle is: @moodymermaid3690. I also have an art account, but it's been pretty dry due to life being hectic. But, if you want to check it out, too, it's: @sketchingsiren3690

Hi! Wow, let me start by saying how proud I am of you for such achievements! Oh my God, I adore black cats. It's a honor to share a name with one, ha-ha. I rescued a stray in July of last year after his mother rejected him. Once he was older, however, he went to live at my grandmother's. The younger kids (my baby cousins) adore him and he loves playing with them. Black cats get such a bad reputation, but they're the sweetest ones out there. My aunt has Bipolar II disorder and a schizo-effective disorder, so I understand how difficult it can be. You're doing fantastic! I'm not very active, but I love swimming. One of my close friends owns horses and hopes I she can teach me if I ever visit. Any tips for a newbie? I do like go down nature trails; I always take a sketchbook to draw the beautiful scenery while having a picnic. Ooh! A rock choir sounds super awesome! Congratulations on joining up! I understand your struggle with anxiety all to well. If you ever need someone to talk you through a flare-up, I'm free most of the time. My friends and I have a rule that if we feel like we're reaching the cusp of a bad attack, we talk each other through grounding techniques. Anywho, thanks for the message! I hope all is well! (:

Hi Emily! :) I just joined this app the other day myself, I’m Mollie :) 26, will be 27 in July. I have bipolar ii,anxiety, and ADHD. I’m a Certified Medical Assistant, working in Orthopedics for almost 8 years. I have 2 black kitties 🐈‍⬛ that are litter mates named Binx & Emily, and have been with my partner Kate for almost 5 years,we both have bipolar ii disorder & anxiety & ADHD. I love soccer, horseback riding, hiking, and just recently joined a Rock Choir🤩Keeping busy is how I try to stay away from slipping back into depression, but it’s not easy as I’m sure you know ❤️and anxiety sometimes makes doing things hard, and sometimes impossible. I got diagnosed with bipolar ii/cyclothymia at age 22. I’ve been really stable for about 4 years, still have awful anxiety flare ups here and there and seasonal depression hit me very hard this year. I still have ups and downs but it’s refreshing to feel stable for the longest time in my life I can think of. Anyway, i’m just here to just talk to people with similar issues, and to help in any way I can😊 going to copy this to introduce myself to others, too :))
