Managing Bipolar Disorder and Anxiety: Tips and Tricks

Hello everyone, I’m new here hello👋🏼 I was diagnosed with Bipolar 1 disorder many years ago. I also have ADHD. I’m a mother of 3 children with nuero developmental disorders / Autism, Learning Disabilities/ Language Disorders I do have a prescription for when I have an anxiety attack and I also am on a stimulant. My advice for handling bipolar disorder/ anxiety is drinking lots of water, meditation, green tea, sunshine , exercise, being out in nature, CONTROLLING YOUR THOUGHTS, and keeping yourself busy. I do have days when my anxiety is through the roof, I take a medication that comes me down almost immediately. I don’t like taking medication everyday. The stimulant I take really helps to keep me busy and accomplishing all my goals for the day. I feel getting a lot accomplished is such an amazing feeling. I do not over do it. . Each day write a list of 3-4 goals / things I want to get done. I do have days dedicated to relaxing/ recharging and not having anything planned for the day. Self care is a big one for feeling good about yourself. It’s important to set time limits for yourself when using social media. Don’t allow yourself to be constantly checking your social media .. Positive Affirmations before bed and first thing when you wake up. Feeling gratitude for everything, good and bad, is really important to. Hopes this helps someone ! ♥️
