I’m not planning on doing anything of the sort, and don’t want to. But the thought “I want to kill myself” repeats in my head constantly. It has for years and I just can’t get it to stop, idk if the self loathing comes from shame or guilt or what but I just want to find some inner peace. Anyone know how to help?

I have dealt with constant suicidal thoughts for years, it's not easy, but i've learned to start writing them off as intrusive thoughts, label them and try to keep moving. It helps me to keep my thoughts organized and labeled. On top of this challenging the thought, telling myself what i find good in life and hold on to those. Idk if this will help but that's my strategy

I have this too, it’s like having suicidal thoughts every day but not having an intention of doing anything. But I find those types of thoughts to be very mentally exhausting.

That is a very difficult situation to be in, even if you don’t feel like you’re in immediate danger from yourself. You are using a lot of energy when you’re in this state. I have had to learn to accept suicidal ideation as passing thoughts. To notice and acknowledge and watch it come and go. My meditation app says “like watching clouds go by”. It takes practice and also practicing being non-judgmental to myself about it.
