I have been taking temazepam 10mg about 1 month now and I'm concerned about the withdrawal effects of the medication because I have had insomnia for 3 months where I'm fine falling asleep but I wake up after 3 hours and can't get sleep and I'm tired of it and my psychiatrist gave me to take temazepam when you wake up in the middle of the night. It's been a month now and feels now that it's not working any more and seeing reddit that withdrawal can be deadly. I'm really burning up right now, feeling restless and worried that I'm going to die due to this benzo med. Can anyone give me any feedback, I so overwhelmed and my psychiatrist is on a 2 month vacation. Can anyone experience this whilst on temazepam 10mg? Please help.

Thanks for your reply. Still waiting for the psychiatrist next month it's been 2 months now on benzos and trying to taper slowly but when I cant get sleep I take 20mg of the benzo. I mean I don't care any more to be honest, I prefer to be rested then carry another day sleepless. I can't do it any more it's been a traumatic experience for me but at least now I'm getting 5 to 6 hours of broken sleep but that's good enough but I want to rely on benzo any more that's what is my concern. I hate the state I'm in it feels like shit that I can't naturally live without medications.

I'm so sorry you're experiencing that from that med. When I tried to get off Prozac and Paxil I had withdrawal effects and brain zaps. It's not fair your therapist is gone for 2 mos. Can you go to an interim one?

I experienced the 3 hr and 1 and a half hour jolt awake. Not due to that med. I started taking Glycine and omg it changed everything for me. My niece recommended it and she gets it from Amazon.
