Struggling with Ambien Addiction: Need Advice

So I’ve been taking ambien for a few weeks to help with my insomnia but I think I’m becoming addicted to it. When I still can’t fall asleep I like the way it makes me feel relaxed so I take more to feel even more relaxed. I find myself craving it and wanting to take more than usual so I can feel relaxed and sleepy. Has anyone experienced this? I had my husband hide the bottle from me so I can only take it when I really need it and with him helping make sure I don’t take more than I should.

This is why Dr's hate prescribing it long term. Have you tried other medicines like trazadone or seroquel?
