College Disability Center Rant

I'm at a UK university, but the accommodation and accessibility team are outright refusing to give me the type of flat I have asked for my next year. They tell me it doesn't exist despite me knowing someone who is renting that type of flat from them and having been inside one! Having that accommodation is the only way I see my health and next year of uni bearable, but the uni teams are being so difficult and I don't know how to advocate for myself, without becoming so overwhelmed by it all.

I essentially got academically dismissed for getting a 74 on a final exam for a required class because when I went to the disability office they told me “they didn’t know how to accommodate me based on my disabilities” so I didn’t get any academic accommodations (I did get physical ones such as eating, sitting, etc)

I’m lucky that mine has been great, but if you need to rant or want advice on dealing with them I’m here 💕
