i’m having the hardest time with school right now. i transferred to a four year university with hopes that they would be more accommodating. they are not and i’m actually in the process of talking with the dean of students and the title IX worker assigned to my university for discrimination. i’m going to finish the rest of the semester but i’m so frustrated and do not want to go back next semester. i know i should transfer but i’ve already attended the community college and i’m not good at doing classes solely online. i can’t go away for college because of my health so i am really just feeling stuck and very frustrated and overall … just so tired. i’m exhausted from always having to do so much work on top of my normal coursework just to get the same education as my peers and feeling like i have to prove that i’m disabled in order to get the help i need and i can’t do it anymore

I struggled with accommodations at my community college and university as well. They each a limited set of accommodations they could offer, and even then, some professors would basically ignore my accommodations and refer to their own policies. For my ADHD, I could request extra time to turn in assignments without penalty (with approval from the professor), but one professor still stuck to her own policy of removing points for late assignments. It's so frustrating when people in positions of authority don't seem to think we're disabled enough to have help.
