How do you manage your chronic pain?

How is your pain? Is it constant? Does it flare up randomly? Does it flare up depending on what you eat? Curious about others experiences.

Can you help? connect today

My pain is ok/manageable. I also have chronic low back pain. Yes, the pain is constant.

I actually had necrotizing pancreatitis and had 6-7 fluid pockets on my left side. I ended up with a total of 3, not at the same time, tubes in my left side.

Depending on what I eat it'll change the pain.

Do you have any examples on what foods makes your pain worse? Cause I’ve been trying to monitor what I eat and see what makes it worse, and I couldn’t really find anything. The only thing that I know that definitely makes my pain worse is over eating.

My pain started out okay today but it’s pretty bad right now. I’m trying to not rely on codeine too much because it’s addicting and also hard to get refills for. So I’m just trying to drink lots of water and power through my work day 😩

Foods that are extremely sweet or spicy. Yes, over eating does make it worse.

Are you getting the codeine from your family dr or a pain dr?

I'm currently taking belbuca. It's a film you stick to the inside of your cheek. It works for 12 hours and is non habit forming.

Hi! I don’t usually experience pain anymore. Occasionally I will have lower back pain that I would rate a 2. Food and drink don’t seem to make a difference. I don’t drink alcohol anymore and I think that’s a big part of it!

I've been dealing with chronic low back pain for 17 years so its hard to tell exactly the source at times. I don't drink anymore either.

My pain mostly occurs when I have a flare or a "flare scare", but I've recently been experiencing discomfort right after I eat any food...so that'll be fun to bring up next Dr's appointment 🙄

same thing... Except it's kinda more like excruciating pain. The foods that are most triggering for me are foods high in fats, but I'm testing the waters to see if I can tolerate healthy or LDL-lowering fats... Such as 1 serving of nuts daily. Does anyone know if this is still triggering regardless of being a healthy habit?
