I have felt lust and jealousy and need. I have felt protection and a want to care, but I don't think I've ever actually felt love for another human being. I'm starting to wonder if it's possible for me to love anyone. Has anyone else felt this?

If you mean romantic love, then it's definitely a thing. Aromantic is a whole group within the queer community. If you mean any type of love, it's possible to not feel that way, often associated with autism, trauma, insecure attachment styles, or some personality disorders, but it's also possible you're misunderstanding what other people mean by love. It's hard to know which you fit into without further conversation. Either way, it doesn't make you deficient. It's just a different way of living that may not appeal to you the way it does to others. Personally, I'm in a subcategory of aromanticism. I also had difficulty understanding my own emotions and what other people described as , but I definitely feel love very deeply for the people and things I do love.
