so my doctors have been trying to give me an answer to a lot of my questions and we did a whole lot of testing and scheduled an appointment to talk about the results but while waiting I received a call saying that the office no longer accepts my insurance which means an appointment to even discuss the results would be around $200 and to fax them to another office would also be a fee. So it sounds like I have to find a whole new office and do all of that testing again and I'm not sure if I have the energy, but these flare ups are so bad that people are getting worried for me and they don't like that I don't have an answer. anyone have any tips for either finding a doctor/not losing hope/ or something to tell my friends/family/coworkers?

I would not trust a medical professional who would charge for test results I would do some research online and if you have a government funded help line I would try to find out if there’s anything you can do legally speaking. In the meantime I’m my opinion obviously lol I would have them send the referral for testing to a different lab and redo the tests and call around to compare pricing and safe any receipt of payment in case there is some way to get compensation good luck 🤞 I would not want to have to deal with any of this I feel for you 😔

@vinyl if he was going to go over your blood work and this is just your PCP he's probably going to refer you to a specialist anyway so I would ask for that referral if that's the plan and see who is in your network instead of just going in and hearing results and not getting any treatment
@NikkiG my bad, I meant to hit reply and I got chat so I just sent you a pm
@vinyl I'm so sorry to hear this and the doctor hopping can definitely be frustrating. I can't tell you what to do but I think I would pay the sea to have my records transferred and check with my insurance to see who is accepting of my insurance I haven't recently had to do that with three different rheumatologists in finally have an appointment. But you shouldn't have to do the test over they should be able to send the results to a doctor that is in your network
Sharing medical test results should be free especially if another doctor requests them directly. I've had to do that when my vision and dental insurance changed and if there was a fee my insurance then covered it because it was being sent to an in network doctor. Having to redo lots of testing can be daunting. Finding a doctor is hard and I don't have any direct advice but don't give up on yourself.
