Struggling with Mental Health and No Insurance

hey guys! i’m new to this…… i can’t afford health insurance and as i’ve gotten older it’s harder to cope. i’ve never taken medicine but i am willing too, hence i cannot afford 1000 a month health insurance.

That is upsetting. Out of pocket is super expensive too. I also don’t have insurance, but I was able to connect with an organization near my campus that does sliding scale treatments. The only problem is the wait time. I was told the final price for an ADHD assessment would be $65, which I can totally afford. But the nearest appointment is 6-18 month away. The wait time is the only thing I’m spending. But while waiting, I feel like I’m regressing. I need treatment. I’m just holding on until I get that phone call for the assessment. I urge you to find a similar place. Most counties within your city should have something similar. A sliding scale with an enormous wait time. Get on that wait time. It’ll be agonizing, yes, but then you have made a step towards your own growth
