Struggling with Body Dysmorphia and Ghosting

this is going to sound really really weird I'm not really good with words but here goes? I have body dysmorphia severely and so my recent ex I trusted her it was a long distance relationship we made plans and after 9 months I was ghosted. it took a toll and now everytime I try and to imagine being with a girl and her asking me about my body or wanting me to change clothes or something I have a panic attack and start crying because I can visualize that. does anyone else experience this?? also I'm very sorry for the lengthy post

      @logie There is a chance they'll accuse you of making things up but you should try anyways. I been through so many different mental health specialists and for majority of the time I was accused of making things up and exaggerating and acting specific ways for attention... it hurt not being taken seriously but I finally found the right help for me and hopefully soon I'll be able to get it started. Don't ever give up on your mental health; it's never too late to reach out for the right help.

      Not strange at all. The amount of people with bdd isn't as common as other diagnoses are so it is one of the most overlooked "invisible illnesses". Have you tried speaking with a psychiatrist?

        @em_Jay so I haven't yet but I want to but I worry that sometimes it's just me and I know I have the disorders but I worry that they'll say I'm making them up
