I'm thinking of starting back after a year of missing the gym.. I felt my most best whilst exercising.. just need some advice to tell myself to me back and to get motivation. my mum used to go with me, but stopped. my depression and anxiety is pulling me back even though I know and need to go back.. and strong advice I can give myself? š

Reward yourself for ANY step you take. You wanna associate a feeling of accomplishment/self control with exercise, so consistency is so much more important! Also, you could potentially find a exercise buddy out there. They call it body doubling, I think
