For almost 20 years, I have had issues with chest pains. I had Drs tell me it was everything from "growing pains" to vitamin deficiency but none of the "treatments" Drs tried or suggested helped. When I was a teenager before I got very involved with men, visiting and being around my cousins bigger sized dogs helped more than the small breed dogs my parents had. As I got involved in romantic relationships as an adult cuddling became the only solution that would help the chest pains. I may still get the chest pains but usually not as bad and many times it would help the chest pains go away completely. I do have a Pit bull dog of my own now but doesn't seem to help as much as cuddling or as much as I thought it did when I was younger. I've also tried a weighted blanket and heating pad. The heating pad helps to some degree but not really. As someone who has been divorced 5 times had several failed relationships, what are some things I could do to alleviate the chest pains without relying on cuddling? Has anyone else experienced severe chest pains potentially related to mental health? (I do not "feel" anxious or upset most of the time when I experience the chest pains but according to Drs and other people that's what they think it's related to since cuddling does help.)

Some suggestions from individuals who have experienced similar chest pains due to anxiety include taking hot showers, watching comforting TV shows, going on daily walks, listening to music or podcasts, drawing, using cold packs or heating pads on the chest, and practicing deep breathing. One person also mentioned finding relief by holding a stuffed animal to their chest, with a heated one for depression and a frozen one for anxiety. However, it's important to consult with a healthcare professional about these symptoms.
