I’ve just began to unmask after 20 years. I didn’t consider myself to have sensory issues before, but now I can’t leave the house without headphones and sunglasses. The sudden onset of frequent meltdowns and shutdowns has been really difficult to deal with. It feels like a switch in my brain has been flipped from hyposensitive to hypersensitive, and I’m having a hard time adjusting. Anyone else experience this? Any advice?
