Are there really others who get these migraines and how long did it take you to be diagnosed?

Unfortunately yes but that does mean you are not alone. I've been living with these vile attacks years now, although they are much reduced in intensity & frequency now due to preventative medication. Prior to my diagnosis I had many hospital stays, often on a stroke ward which was extremely scary. But I read up, if you haven't already check out The Migraine Trust for tons of information, and have the ICE App on my phone with full details of the condition so that first responders know what they are dealing with if I'm found (I'm often left with little to no speech in major attacks). I've just managed to adjust life I guess to keep me safe, to stop my family from worrying too. I'm here if you need to talk. x

I haven’t been diagnosed but I just recently went to the hospital thinking I was having a stroke only to be diagnosed with a complex migraine. It’s so scary but if it’s any help, we aren’t alone in it
