does anyone have any anxiety around doing the dishes? i’ve had these old dishes for a couple weeks but i can’t shake the feeling that i’ll get food poisoning or something from using them again. that’s never happened before so i feel like it’s pretty safe but i can’t seem to logic my way through this one. any tips?

Best thing for me ever was getting. Dish washer … I really suffer with that particular executive dysfunction… also putting away clothes is like the worse thing in the world for me — I just feel like I can’t do it even tho I know I’ll be happy that everything is away i have to force myself so hard and it will still take me days to do it. It sucks

Would it maybe help to sanitize the dishes? You can soak them in a very diluted bleach solution and then wash them again to Beth the chemicals off. Or maybe buy some paper plates in the meantime until you are feeling a bit more relaxed and ready to think about the dishes again.

maybe it's worth getting some new dishes that ease your anxiety if that's an option? or possibly just through trying to use them over and over again and when you don't get food poisoning from using them, hopefully that'll trick your brain into thinking it's okay? I totally understand that anxiety though, especially with new unfamiliar and old dishes. logically theres nothing wrong with them and they won't give you any illness but maybe you just have to prove that to yourself? ^^;; I hope this helps somewhat!!
