It seems im now only left with two options for my endo, go back on the orilissa and norethindrone for two years this time or get my ovaries removed since none of the birth control works to keep it from raging back out of control. I am very conflicted on as to what im going to do after two years if i dont decide to remove my ovaries. Im not sure if i want more kids or not yet and im scared. Any of you with endometriosis have any suggestions other than birth control? Any advice if i decide to remove my ovaries? Also im only 28 years old

Ovaries are the bad guy with endo. I’m sorry, but it’s the only permanent solution. There weren’t a lot of treatment choices back in the olden days when I was dealing with it. We had 2 daughters, the youngest of which took 2 extremely painful years to conceive. Both physically, mentally and emotionally. We had given up and then, boom, pregnant. My endo got exponentially worse after her birth and I had a total hysterectomy when she was 7 months old. I was 26 years old. She turns 23 this year. Although we only wanted 2 children, it was difficult to deal with the fact that it was done. I was also amongst people who would look at me with pity. Almost like I wasn’t a woman anymore. Still one of the best decisions I ever made. I forget other women my age still have periods! The poor things! I wish you good luck and health in whichever decision you make. Gentle hugs.

Did they previously do excision? If so, was any found around the ovaries? What was the state of the ovaries when they were left?

@Becbec so far the only thing that's helped a bit is an IUD but that won't help me if I want to have a kid
