Hello there I’m happy you’re here with us. My journey with fibromyalgia has been a long one since the age of 13, quite a few years ago. I can share my coping skills anytime you’d like to talking. I hope you find comfort in knowing you’re not alone. 🤗

Hi Deb! I'm in Ohio but used to live in NoVa and have been to Luray caverns multiple times! Hope you're feeling a little better and that your migraine has eased a little since you last posted!

@Daisygirlie How are you feeling? Now I am in a Fibro flare in addition to the migraine. I don’t think they have ever hit at the same time before. Lots of hours in a dark, quiet room. Ugh!

I live in Indiana too! I'm on disability after a 2 year fight. The SSDI is less than 1/2 my teaching salary.

@squibibi Welcome fellow newbie! So far I’ve found everyone to be so nice. Are you finding a lot of people with things in common like I am? I think I’m really going to enjoy this site. A way of getting and giving feedback and new ideas of things to try. I’m free to chat as well, although right now I have my days and nights mixed up…I’m up all night and sleeping in the day. Lol. I ran out of sleeping pills a month ago and that isn’t a good thing for a severe insomniac. I’m right there with you in a lot of your diagnoses, especially Fibro and migraines, and like you, have a whole laundry list of other diagnoses. I’m headed to bed now. Have a great day, be well and live your best life today! 💕

I ended up in Portland because my untreated bipolar father moved our family 90x by the time i was 16. The last one was being in Ft Lauderdale and hearing we are moving to Portland.Where is Portland my 14yoself asked you know where the volcano just blew up. Yep there was still ash when we got here

      • Deb3

        614d

@PolySammo That must have been so hard for you to move that many times as a teenager. You must never felt like you were home!

I recently found out i have emphysema too. Other than the occasional hit on a vape to sleep i have never seen the attraction of smoking

It helped me get over being pissed at dialysis though. So now i pay attention to my labs, i try to go in no more than 2 kilos over going for nocturnal helped me feel so much better and not feel sick at all. No more exhaustion. So i can work part time and it is wonderful. I love my job. I nanny for Teenagers and Keep the Dad out of trouble during the pandemic by teaching him to cook. And do dishes

    • PolySammo

      614d

I ended up getting really sick in a way that had nothing to do with my kidneys and dialysis in August 2012 5 months after i started. I went into the hospital and cmae home 5 months later. 27surgeries in 5 years.

      • Deb3

        614d

@PolySammo How on Earth did you stand being in the hospital for 5 months? I’ve had a few month-long stays and that was enough! 💕

    • PolySammo

      614d

The first ones were tough because i was mad and resented that i had these rules. I would drink a 32oz chocolate peanut butter and banana milkshake ony way to dialysis

      • PolySammo

        614d

@PolySammo I would go into treatment 5kilos over my dry weight and they would have to pull as much of it off as they could, but i would start cramping so bad and they would help stretch it out but eventually they had to give me back fluid.

Hi Deb, I was born in Luray do know it? I live in Portland/Vancouver, WA now but most of my relatives are back there . Dadly there are alot of them and a good chunk of them have really crappy genetics. I lovey Mommo but she should not have had kids. I guess they didn't think about that in the 60's

      • Deb3

        614d

@PolySammo Yes, I know Luray - beautiful area. How did you end up in Portland? You’re a long way from home, my friend. I have crappy genetics too. My mother should not have had children either, for several reasons. I’m not sure any generation has paid attention to genetics, but they should. My maternal grandmother was 1 of 18 children and every one had COPD and emphysema, so it skipped a generation and I have hereditary COPD; never smoked a day in my life. Also got hereditary Pernicious Anemia from her - both pretty untreatable and eventually fatal. But I guess we have to die from something, right? Make the best of the time we have. Hope you can get some sleep tonight. Be well.💕

Hi glad to meet you. I’m Courtenay. I have ic, high blood pressure, fibro, migranes, hypothyroidism and endo. Along with a lot more. I live in indiana

      • PolySammo

        614d

@Preschool_Teacher i dont know that o could do preschool teaching once my fibro hit. Thankfully i am a Nanny to Teenagers now. As long as I feed them and get them to Soccer Practice we are good. They do the laundry and bring it down since i really cant do stairs unless its an emergency ( You know if the cat pules in the 14yo girl's room, that is an emergency ).I do fold it amd in my active imagination they put it away all nice and tidy. 🤯

        • Deb3

          614d

@PolySammo Definitely an emergency when the cat gets sick! Lol. That’s great they help with the laundry. I’m sure they put it away very neatly, being teenagers; it’s probably in a pile on the floor. I have a pile sky high, but am just not well enough to do it right now. Maybe when my husband runs out of clothes he will do a load. Lol.

@Preschool_Teacher Hi, Courtenay! Sounds like we have a lot in common. Thanks for writing, I really appreciate it. Maybe we can chat sometime. Take care. 💕

Hello, glad to meet you. Right now it’s kind of late and I’m going to try and get some sleep. I’ll try and catch up with you in a couple of days. If I don’t it’s not because I don’t want to it’s because I forgot. My memory isn’t the best. Good night and welcome!

      • Deb3

        614d

@Quirky4You Thanks! I hope you slept well. If you don’t get back to me, I totally understand. It’s all too much sometimes. I also tend to forget things. Lol. Take good care. 💕
