Hi! I’ve had chronic migraines for years and am always hoping to find ideas on how to manage. I’ve tried practically every medication including Botox. Just wanting to start the migraine conversation.

I found nasal sumatriptan to help me a lot during migraine attacks, and it works fast since it’s just a one puff spray in your nose. Also helps if you have any vomiting or nausea to not have to try to swallow meds Make sure there isn’t anything in your environment or any meds making things worse. Triggers can be so different for everyone. Certain foods, drinks, stress, too much sleep or not enough, not enough caffeine or too much. It sounds like you’ve tried a lot, so I’m sorry it’s been such a long journey.

I found taking Propranolol very helpful in reducing migraine attacks. Of course sleeping enough and drinking plenty of water.

I get migraines each time I sleep less than 7 hours or don't drink enough water.. it's annoying but honestly I haven't searched for any solutions except taking NSAID's as much as I need...
I recently got diagnosed with autonomic dysfunction. I had also tried all the preventatives without success
Mine are hormone induced for sure so I take birth control and only have my period every 3 months. I’m also triggered by exercise which really stinks bc most of these medications cause weight gain.
Mine tend to be hormone induced.
Oh boy...I can barely tolerate most medications so my treatment/management of my migraines varies depending on the type of migraine and the surrounding environment and circumstances. I personally feel that a lot depends on age and sex, my migraines are affected by my hormones for sure. I try to make sure I have good sleep hygiene, try to go to bed around the same time and sleep 7-9 hours, more in some cases, I know I could drink more water and stay better hydrated, and I try to avoid trigger foods and additives. Also, anything that releases natural endorphins is a huge help for me. I have lots of personal tricks and techniques for treating my migraines. They're weird but they work well for me.
