I just escaped another abusive home situation and I'm in a hotel all alone. This is the lowest I've felt in so long and I can't find a place to permanently stay. Starting to think I don't belong anywhere and I'm not meant to ever feel safe because of all the abuse I've been through. What do you do when you feel like you've reached the end and you have no options anymore

I have been through my share of abuse and then some. Raised by two narcissistic emotionally abusive parents and have a narcissistic brother, was taken advantage of sexually and later ended up in an emotionally abusive relationship. Every situation is different and every survivor is different. But admitting what is happening and leaving is always the hardest part. You did that. You know you deserve better and every day will get a little better. But it takes time. Be patient with yourself. Give yourself permission to feel any emotions that come up. Give yourself some extra self care. Do you have a friend or family member or therapist you trust? Anyone you can talk to?

You don’t have to stay where you are geographically. Use this time in the hotel to take a moment and decide which way you want to go. Find something you want to move towards. Just moving away from what you know you don’t want will not necessarily land you somewhere you want to be. It is perfectly okay to stay in a hotel and regroup. Don’t be in a rush to leave the hotel just because you feel like you shouldn’t be there.

You choose to keep going because you are going to have an incredible sorry that is going to impact others. Just hang on for another moment, then make it to another moment after that. Learn how to love yourself again, find a safe space. I am a Christian so honestly, my ultimate answer is prayer. God is the only one who hasn’t abused it abandoned me

Have you looked into low income housing? Oh and look for resources in your area. My partner found a place near that helps with gas, has washing machines, and across the street from a 7 11 with an excellent selection of slushies. We are in the middle of nowhere.
