Did anyone with type 1 diabetes ever experience extreme/moderate hair loss? If you did, did your hair started growing back after insulin treatment and after you got a hang of controlling your glucose levels? Asking because I was newly diagnosed in November (I'm 19) and I'm super worried about my hair cause it's so thin and I don't have a lot of it. Please be honest and don't sugar coat šŸ„ŗ

Yes, this is a common symptom if your newly diagnosed with something that basically shocks yr body from the damage. Some people get hair loss with surgeries because it it stressful on yr body. I was diagnosed in 2002 and it took about a yr for my hair to grow back to normal. Donā€™t worry its not permanent!
