Dealing with PCOS-related hair loss

I’m a college student who was diagnosed with PCOS only a couple months ago after missing my period for 8 months. This came as a surprise because I don’t exhibit any of the common symptoms like hirsutism or weight gain, but one thing I’ve always struggled with is hair loss (androgenic alopecia?). I have very thin hair and it tends to shed a LOT to the point where I almost have bald spots. Any advice on dealing with this or bettering it?
