Dealing with the Loss of a Friend from the Psych Hospital

‼️Caution ⚠️ this could be triggering This is not about mania, depression, or anything like that. Trigger warning, I don’t know where else to go, but I found out about 2 days ago that someone I knew in the psych hospital passed away. I had been trying to find him for years, only to find out yesterday that he was no longer alive. I know he was older than me… I can’t say whether he was bipolar or not but I am. And this whole feeling that this happened just threw me into a headspace that I haven’t been in before since that time. My mom said I should reach out to someone who might understand. So, if you don’t understand that’s ok but if you do, that’s good too.
