The Lack of Empathy for Mental Health Struggles

I just don’t know understand peoples logic around mental health. I think everyone who has someone close to them, that’s dealing with depression— and they don’t give the person a safe space to talk about their depression and IF that person take their life, everyone around deserves to feel the pain of them being gone. A moment ago: I was talking to my sister about our plans for the fall. And I just expressed that our older sister situation is triggering my depression. And she said “keep that away from me” like a plague or something as she walked away from me.
