Does anyone else suddenly start to feel really uneasy about their surroundings. It can be a place that you're usually comfortable or not so much, but all of a sudden things start to look weird and people too? It's hard to explain.

Happens almost all the time for me unfortunately. And it gets me very overstimulated sometimes too.
@c4tmom I'm sorry to hear it happens to you too. Yes I like to use the word overstimulated too. Like it's so much you don't even feel like you can handle it and you don't know what to do. I hate it!

I get that way sometimes too! You're not alone!

Yes! Sometimes it can be in my own home if people are over. It doesn't make sense but just because it isn't logical doesn't mean it is easy to push through
Oh yeah, daily. Definitely a dissociation and DPDR thing (and can be something that happens before a panic attack). I get it very badly if im about to have a seizure/having seizure symptoms as well. It's absolutely awful, I'm really sorry you deal w it too. š¤
I donāt know if this is any similar to you but sometimes I feel this kind of way and I feel dizzy but Iām not? I donāt know how to describe this feeling either but it feels so unreal.
@zeroooo i think I know what youāre describing. There have been times im lying down and having intense anxiety it feels like I would faint if I tried to get up. Like a dizzy or intense drained feeling
@Brobi1 almost like that, for me sometimes my vision starts to get like brighter or I start seeing colors slowly changing.
I have these occasional bursts of very sudden and extremely intense fear out of nowhere. It's such an overwhelming feeling of sheer panic that my heart feels like it leaps into my throat and like all of the blood drains from my face when it happens. The only thing that I can think to kind of relate it to is when people talk about that anxiety that they get when running up the stairs after turning out the lights. It's like a completely irrational full body terror that overcomes you and you just have to get out of there now. Any time I have them, they're pretty much completely unwarranted. I used to have the feeling A LOT when I'd have to go down into the basement of my old apartment. It got so bad to the point of where I couldn't even bring myself to go down there after dark and the mere thought of having to do it would nearly drive me to tears from fear. I have no idea where this came from.
@adixon I really couldn't have said it better. That's exactly it for me too
I didn't expect many to relate! I thought maybe 1 or 2 people, but we really in this together. I wish no one had to go through it, but the fact that we're all dealing with it, should make us all feel less alone and have even less reason to stress. Easier said than done, but we can get through the weird things we feel sometimes! Much love and hope to allš¤
this kinda sounds like a type of derealization honestly. but i get it fr

This post makes me feel less alone :ā) I like to think it has something to do with the ptsd and it triggers a panic attack. I have never been able to explain this to my therapist.

Yes I know exactly what you mean. Almost like your own living room or kitchen or bedroom feels like some foreign place
Yes one of the many psychological symptoms that come along with anxiety etc

Yes its the feeling i get before every panic attack its so uncomfortable š
Same. Iāve never been able to describe it to others but I can relate. Thank you for sharing. I feel seen.
Yes! I totally know what you're talking about. I get that too. It's like an overwhelming feeling, like the area around you is getting smaller. When this happens and I'm in public, I go to the bathroom and get into a stall and do breathing to help calm myself
