Is it okay to say I’m not in recovery yet? I’ve noticed I’ve started to slow down more. I always had that pattern, do it for a few months, stop, and go right back to it. Just this time feels so different. I entered the shtwt. I gone down this spiral with it. It not just me gaining control but a midnight activity. I like how they look, I’ve gone deeper. Kinda scares me a bit.

firstly, it’s okay to slip up or have a long period of relapse but just remember, you have come so far and are so much more aware of yourself and your confident than you were before. everyday, no matter what happens is part of the road to recovery and although it may not seem that way right now, i promise someday you will look back and be so proud of the progress you have made, you just have to keep pushing and keep trying and i know that’s hard but i promise it’s worth it :)

recovery is a process, and rarely a short and easy one. even while in recovery relapses can happen, no one is expected to stop completely and never return to old behaviors. but it sounds like youre doing things that slow recovery like shtwt. I know what it's like to almost subconsciously go to that and give yourself a reason to relapse because I've done the same. I used to be on shtwt and after a while i realized it was my choice to do that and it was a matter of a lot of will power to step away and say "this is harmful and I dont need to be doing this." I myself have been struggling with relapses after a six month clean streak last year, but again, recovery is a messy process and far from simple and perfect. if you need someone to talk to or a distraction ever you can dm me <3 - lenny, he/him
