I'm getting sick of living again. Everything is frustrating. I've lost motivation. I'm tired all the time. I just want to lay down and let myself be. School is killing me. Life is killing me. I'm about to be 17 and i don't want this to be the last birthday I have. I need better time management to take care of school and myself at the same time. Any suggestions,?

@darkstarrynight it truly is amazing. It really helps having somewhere to get all the thoughts out of your head with no judgement and it tags feelings and certain words and whatever you want in your entries and shows you patterns in them over time! I cannot reccomend it enough

There's a great podcast called The Happiness Lab that has really helped me stop beating myself up as much, and it gives you a toolbox of things you can try to help get out of the slump. It's always easier said than done though. The most helpful thing for me is nurturing the social relationships that I have, reaching out to friends, planning activities, etc. I can't get out of bed some days but I know if I make plans to see my friend or have them over for dinner that I'll get up, take care of myself, and maybe even clean the house.

Honestly speaking it's okay to lose motivation and to sit down in the darkness we constantly run from to recover. People will tell you or literally demand you get back up right away as they see fit. But that's not how this works and it's actually okay to sit down and just exist. Give yourself a break and cut yourself some slack. Life sucks the life out of us that are mentally ill, we all reach limits and consider throwing in the towel. So it's okay that you feel that way. My best suggestion is to cut slack and rest, then when it's time stand up once more then start to slowly inch foreward. Every day is a victory that you make it, you survived another day despite it all. Give yourself things to keep going for. That season finale of that good show, a pet, a person, or even the fact you refuse to die before that person you hate. Even if it seems silly outloud, every little tiny thing or reason is one more thread keeping you here. If you need to see it, write them down. Know that life is hard and alot of people never make it to even your age, every day you breathe even if your knocked down, is a victory.

For the self care side of things I have this app called Finch where you have a little bird friend and you can send them on adventures and stuff. It's a bit like a journaling app but it has loads of self care prompts and you can set goals to earn stuff in the app and it has grounding techniques and breathing exercises as well!

Im honestly in the same boat. I suggest setting aside at least an hour of free time for yourself per dat. Trust me I have so much work that needs done and not enough time but you also need time to enjoy life and hang out with friends or family. Try and find a system that works for you and take it one day at a time. Im here if you need to talk about itšŸ’•
