The “body keeps the score” is great for explaining how ptsd works and how different treatments work to help us. Personally I have found the combination of medication (for me Effexor works), meditation/yoga/tai chi, journaling, having friends to talk about this with, healthy soothing habits (like taking a bath or drinking tea). But most importantly: THERAPY. It doesn’t have to be traditional therapy, but you need a safe space to talk about things so you’re not holding it in. Having a person to guide you and point out patterns and solutions is so helpful. Most of all, self compassion and acceptance. Try not to be upset at yourself for what you feel. Your feelings are so valid
