I have my partner of 8 months, but sometimes worry he’ll get overwhelmed/exhausted/bored being with/supporting me.. like if I get sick of my own needs, I know he has to as well.. he’s really the only reliably supportive person in my life, which is scary and stressful 😕

I can understand that! I visit my boyfriends on weekends (long distance) and feel bad when I don’t have the energy to do much while visiting.

same. I know my husband is sick of it and overwhelmed by it. It’s really hard.

I only have my husband and kids. Everyone else didn’t stick around and I found out weren’t there for me when things got tough.

My support system is all of 5 or so people, which is not enough when I have 2+ conditions for each if I divided them up 😭. My partner is amazing (also disabled), and so are my supports, but I need a village, so still working on it.
