I've been out of school since 2019. When I was in school, yes I did have nightmares. They kept me awake, scared to go back to sleep. I still have nightmares to this day. I use Prazosin, they don't get rid of the nightmares, but they lower the amount you have. Talk to you doc to see if it's something you can try. It's also a blood pressure medicine, so be aware of that

I do for sure because of my medical problems (bullied for my psoriasis and my dwarfism as I am fairly shorter than most my age).

I definitely have a lot of nightmares about being back at school and at this point all my dreams are very vivid nightmares. My best suggestion that has helped me is to watch positive things and consume positive material surrounding whatever is giving you nightmares to help guide your subconscious to think about less stressful things in the night.
