Prazosin and Nightmares: Sleeping Longer?

so with Prazosin I take them for my nightmares. Has anyone noticed they make you sleep in longer or feel like you cant wake up from your nightmares now?

I've never woken up from nightmares, I just get to experience them all night. The Prazosin has been amazing. Sometimes I still have nightmares, but they are no longer every single night like they had been since I was a child.

I'm so glad they are working! I started counciling and a week or 2 in I started having a similar nightmare every night. I was so lucky to have a psychiatrist apt less than a week later. I had wicked dark circles and i had my first date 3 days into the nightmares πŸ˜‚πŸ˜…. Prazosin immediately stopped them and I'm so happy. Meds are so good πŸ˜†

I'm on the lowest dose possible so maybe I'm not the right person to ask, but I do feel like I sleep a normal amount of sleep then I was before (either 4 hours or 13 hours at a time). I pretty much stopped having trauma induced nightmares and when I do they aren't as sever or emotionally draining/causing panic attacks. And the dreams aren't in 4 hours in any more, they are about 8-9 hours into sleeping.

Not at all, I can't remember most of my nightmares, and I don't wake up in the middle of the night anymore :)

I think my doctor mentioned something like that may happen if you have low blood pressure. It took me a while by trial and error to find out my right dosage.
