@FTW The only thing I have gotten better with, is hiding my self harm
@FTW yeah I’ve had to become better at this
It all depends on how you define better. You will never be always happy, you will never be always sad, you have to, accept that with the highs there will lows, and with the lows, the highest would also come. It’s about retraining, your brain, we are so used to looking for the next thing that’s gonna break us specially when we are traumatized, that we constantly keep looking in the future, and we constantly keep looking for things that are gonna make us feel sad, that way we don’t live in the present, we live in the past and future. The best way to make sure that things get better is to focus on the important things that are going on right now, what is it that you can do right now to solve the problem that’s bothering you. If you can do something to solve the problem right now, then do it, if there’s nothing you can do to solve that problem, well, then there’s no reason to be worried about it. It is extremely hard, takes a while to train your brain to do that. Especially if your brain is used of the trauma, and the stress. It just takes time.
